The Lie Tree is one of my favorite books from the post few years. Faith is a great character and I love that her father doesn't accept her interest in natural science, since it's somewhat common for fictional fathers to support their daughters' unconventional ambitions.
Verdigris Deep/Well Witched - I don't remember it except for the basic plot and "He didn't really want a motorbike. He wanted to be the kind of person who rode a motorbike." The plot is that the kids take coins from a wishing well to ride the bus and then they have to grant the wishes.
I also liked Fly By Night. I read it back when it was the only book Hardinge had published, and I'm so happy that I have several of her books left to read.
